FULL-LENGTH PLAYS

Anything But Straw (comedy): Timely, funny, and a new twist on "Rumpelstiltskin" for all ages, ANYTHING BUT STRAW is the epic tale of Penelope, a smart and independent young maiden who yearns to be a troubadour but who must unwillingly seek marriage to save her family mill. A desperate lie wins her the tyrant King's betrothal, so she must spin a roomful of straw into gold or face the axe -- unless she can outwit him, and save herself. Production History: ANYTHING BUT STRAW is a new work and is currently unpublished and unproduced, but it was given an online Zoom reading performance by The Playwrights Group on April 9, 2026, starring Elizabeth Vichness, Anthony Communale, Michael Lake, Travis Creston Detwiler, Gabrielle Pascoe, Isaac J. Conner, and Paul Caamano. Hosted by Richard Caliban.

Aggro (comedy): A play for anyone who ever woke up and despaired of facing the workday, AGGRO is the comic story of Mira, a woman who escapes into the world of computer gaming when she's unexpectedly fired from her longtime job. As Mira falls deeper into the world of the game, she finds new friendship, power and freedom, but at the potential cost of her sanity (and marriage). A witty, imaginative 75-minute play for three performers with no intermission. Production History: AGGRO is new and unproduced, but it was given a live, in-person staged reading by Bellingham Theatreworks at The Upfront Theatre on April 26, 2026. The reading starred Dallas Milholland, Sam Wallin, Jack Tronsdale, and was directed by Laura French.

The Betrayals of Women (drama): Going back millennia, there have been countless stories, myths and legends in which a woman is told "Don't do that." Don't do what? That one, small thing... THE BETRAYALS OF WOMEN reimagines three timeless stories of betrayal: Eve and Adam, Psyche and Eros, and a mysterious newlywed couple, and provides a dark, seductive, and even humorous new imagining of these women's thoughts and motives in each fateful choice. Production History: THE BETRAYALS OF WOMEN is unproduced but was given an online Zoom reading performance by The Playwrights Group on July 21, 2022, starring Hannah Schooner, Giancarlo Herrera, Catherine Skojec, John Bordeaux, Michael Reisman, Kimberly Ferse, Matt Lyman, and Daniela Melgar. Hosted by Richard Caliban.

Missing the Comet (drama): An uptight, perennially terrified woman finds herself forced out of her shell by the unexpected visit of her schizophrenic, free-spirited sister. Production History: An early draft of MISSING THE COMET was given a live staged preview performance of its first act by The Boca Raton Theatre Guild in 1992.

Between the Wish and the Life (drama): Life happens even when you're waiting, as this two-act drama demonstrates, in four interconnected seriocomic stories of characters dealing with life's crises while waiting on the phone, at the DMV, at the bus stop, and in a hospital waiting room.

Angry Annie: An Orphan's Revenge (Additional Dialogue and Lyrics). ANGRY ANNIE: AN ORPHAN'S REVENGE  is a world-premiere musical parody that asks: What if, instead of adopting Little Orphan Annie, Daddy Warbucks had simply sent her back to the orphanage and stolen her beloved dog, Sandy? Follow Annie’s bloody, brutally funny path from youthful aspiration ("I Hope They're Gonna Keep Me Here") to revenge (“The Gun’ll Come Out Tomorrow”) and beyond ("We Don't Need Anything But Us") in this smart, savage, and unexpectedly moving musical parody that will have people talking for years to come.
